Designed for an NRI client based in Singapore, this residence was envisioned as a contemporary home for his parents while also serving as a comfortable retreat during his visits to India. Having travelled extensively, the client sought an interior that reflected a modern lifestyle while remaining warm, practical, and timeless.
The project presented an interesting planning opportunity by combining two adjacent two-bedroom apartments into a single, larger residence. The dividing wall between the apartments was carefully removed, allowing the layout to be completely reconfigured into a spacious three-bedroom home centred around an expansive living and dining space that feels open and connected.
The additional floor area also created opportunities to introduce spaces that enhanced the family's lifestyle, including a dedicated home theatre and a private study. Through thoughtful planning and cohesive interior detailing, the completed residence feels like a purpose-designed home rather than two apartments joined together.
