This three-bedroom apartment was designed for an NRI client whose primary requirement was a highly functional home centred around an exceptionally detailed kitchen. Every aspect of the kitchen was carefully planned to suit the client's cooking habits, storage requirements, and day-to-day lifestyle, resulting in a space that is both efficient and enjoyable to use.
An interesting aspect of the project was that the client's brother owned an apartment in the same building, which we had designed a year earlier. While both apartments shared an identical floor plan, the client was clear that his home should possess its own distinct identity. The design therefore moved away from repeating earlier ideas, introducing a fresh material palette, bespoke detailing, and a unique interior language while remaining closely aligned with the client's functional aspirations.
The completed apartment reflects a careful balance between practicality and individuality, demonstrating how thoughtful planning and tailored design can transform an identical layout into a completely unique living environment.
